Thank you to all of our fair visitors we met at our stand. The TIRE fair was a success, even though the worldwide Coronavirus affected the number of visitors. Many large tire factories had imposed a travel ban on their representatives. The organizer took the situation very seriously. The body temperature of the guests was checked at the gate and everyone was asked to confirm their own state of health. The recommendation was to avoid handshaking and there was a hand sanitized for everyone in the mess bag.
However, the Akatools stand was visited by representatives of major tire manufacturers who were really interested in our products. We also met representatives of tire industry equipment manufacturers from Japan, Germany and Taiwan. We were intrigued by the innovative manufacturing solutions we offered and we talked a lot of the preformers we have been particularly dedicated to developing. Also opportunities for wire sawing and eg. accuracy led to quotes.
The “from stock” service model has been well received as it has a direct impact on delivery times. We serve our key customers as efficiently as possible by storing semi-finished products on our premises. Warehouse service also allows parts to be delivered on a tight schedule, with the customer continuing uninterrupted production, with no long spare parts waiting times.
Several presenters from Finland and other Nordic countries were present, but Akatools stood out from the crowd with its special products. We got several mentions about it, and with the help of local trade fair assistant Martina and her language skills, we talked for a long time with Spanish and Italian guests.
